The major problem with the outside-in approach is when you are on the outside. you cannot know what’s going on inside.

I completely agree Joe. If you’re looking to the site of pain and symptoms trying to find a root cause..you will be lost.
Pain and other symptoms are simply your body attempting to adapt to the environment you have placed it in.
Ryan, first let me welcome you to the blog. Could not pain and other symptoms also be a failure of your body to adapt as well as attempting to adapt? I think that the reason we do not use them is because we simply do not know which they are. Just the opposite is also true. It is my understanding that in some terminal diseases, the symptoms completely disappear near the end. Absence or presence of symptoms are just never a good indicator. Thanks for making me use my brain on a Monday morning!!
