Systems and Authorities

Before there can be a system there must be a Major Premise that is accepted. A major premise requires an authority, faith in Someone or Something whether it is the Bible or a person like a college professor. That’s why systems are required-Authorities usually don’t last. Systems can and do.
Examples of Systems and Authorities in history:
1st Authority. God who created a system called the Laws of Divine Establishment (If you believe Gen. 1:1). Some we call natural or scientific laws (innate intelligence is one) Some were given directly. They were often named after the man who wrote them down. Some are known as the Mosaic Law. They are still with us today, some are not applicable today (like some dietary laws), some are applicable but ignored.
2nd Authority. Alexander the Great came closest to creating a universal language for communication, a common language. It was used to communicate a belief system in the first century.

3rd Authority. Julius Caesar-created a system of laws of jurisprudence, resulting in the creation of individual freedom, peace and prosperity, Pax Romana, SPQR, the Julian Calendar.
4th Authority The United States Constitution- created a system of laws that made all men equal under the law-. Apokrinomai (grk) to judge from an ultimate source.
5th Authority BJ Palmer created the 33 Principles based on natural or scientific laws already accepted..
If an Authority wants to supersede the system, he/she must become a tyrant, a dictator otherwise he is just a servant executing the system. That’s why we call them public servants. Many Roman dictators ignored the Authority of SPQR and acted as kings thinking they were divine. In chiropractic our system is the 33 principle, the chiropractic philosophy explains the details of that system. Some thought BJ put himself above the system and accused him of being a tyrant. He is gone but the system is still with us.

  1. I’d guess that Viewpoint or ADIO vs OIBU are Types of Systems. The former, delegating man as a humble servant of the system, the latter as the tyrant you speak of.

In what context, within this System and Authority paradigm do we place ADIO, OIBU or Viewpoint?
