On Being a Chiropractor

We cannot be truly effective as chiropractors until we are no longer preoccupied with ourselves, our title, our technique, our educated brain, our image or even our ability to make the adjustment and are totally aware of our limitations and the wonder of the law of life residing within the person on our table. When we are convinced that the correction of a vertebral subluxation is 1% us and 99% the practice member’s innate intelligence, then and only then can we begin to achieve our potential in chiropractic.

  1. To say that 1% is us is way too kind. I guess it was easier to speak in whole numbers than to say .000000000000001 us and the rest the intelligence within.

    • Interesting comment Bob. I thought I would get a lot of flack from the technique guys. I guess they don’t read this blog!

    • Bob, the practice member’s own ii always makes the adjustment. Our educated brain merely determines where and when to introduce the universal force which the PM’s ii will invest with new character and make the adjustment. That is our 1%. The only thing our innate intelligence has to do with the whole process is keep us alive. Dead doctors don’t lie and dead chiropractors don’t adjust.

      • That 1% is more than maybe given credit for though. If our beliefs and intent are wrapped in our educated and our intent is correct that makes the adjustment with that “something extra” that BJ spoke of. Right? Give me a mediocre adjustor with great belief in principle and high intent of v.s. correction anyday

Sounds like the makings of a new practice building cd if I’ve ever heard one! 🙂
