A Thought on Research and Technique

You properly move from truth to experience according to John 8:32.”….the Truth shall make you free.” Ignorance has to first be corrected. Many new so-called straight chiropractic techniques are experience oriented rather than first being philosophically examined for correctness.  We cannot make experience preeminent because it is not a given. It sometimes does not occur.  Truth is always truth.  Experience  is dependent upon other  factors also coming into play. If chiropractors are seeking an experience or the report of an experience from the patient/practice member or promoter of the technique (and certain techniques seem to do that), then they are looking for people who will manifest  the effects of their technique in a certain way. That is the same as looking for back problems, finding people who are helped with their back problem and concluding chiropractic got them well. That is not what OSC is all about.

  1. Most technique teachers are obviously into getting sick people well….and that is how they market (not all). Most techniques can be used by an OSC, because it is not how but why you do it. Having been around the straight Chiro world for a while, I have seen and been abused over technique issues….(Remember the by hand only straights)
I see it as to why you do what you do that is the real point.

  2. Straight,

WHO chooses the WHY. It’s ALWAYS a choice. The OC is a chiropractor WHO chooses to practice the chiropractic objective. WHY?

    • Claude, so you are saying there is no such thing as objective chiropractic or objective straight chiropractic just chiropractic and chiropractors are practicing chiropractic or something else. Those practicing the chiropractic objective are OC (objective chiropractors) those practicing something else are?????. Just trying to clarify your position before I argue for or against it.

  3. Joseph,

It is up to the chiropractor WHO is FREE to choose to practice the chiropractic objective or NOT to practice the chiropractic objective.

    • Claude, the sad thing in our profession 2day is the chiropractic objective is put in the back seat of the bus…and OCs are treated like outcasts and less than intelligent cultists. Just read today how ICA has endorsed CCE more of the same old same old, and the majority of OCs personalize Innate and talk like it is an entity like the Holy Spirit of God…(probably just stepped on some toes)
