You cannot teach anything without using words. You must first teach a practice member a vocabulary and the first phrase in that vocabulary must be the chiropractic objective.

You are so right Joe, thus the importance of the Orientation lecture before beginning care, a live, face to face, Doctor lead lecture. No movies, no literature to take home and read,no letting some staff member do the heavy lifting. What you give determines what you receive….That is why I’ve always said: the Orientation is the most important thing we do (TOITMITWD)…
AMEN!!!!!
Joe D.,
YES! TOITMITWD! Face to face, BEFORE beginning care! It establishes the foundation of the relationship between chiropractor and practice member. Then, each and every visit thereafter, we break down the orientation in as many ways as creatively possible by ASKING questions! This is the best way to tell the story over and over and over and over again. That’s WHAT gets the office full of happy people. Eventually, very few new members are needed. (the ideal is when capacity has been reached… then I refer them to Strauss đŸ˜‰ )There’s no need of marketing or advertising. It becomes a self generating practice.
… and “WHAT is it that the orientation does?” It specifically orients people to observe the irrationality of living life divorced from the reality that their bodies are governed by an innate intelligence, and explains them that there is a practical way in which it can be applied.
