Understanding What We Do

If we try to explain to MDs or even the general public what we do in the framewok of the medical paradigm (egs. get some sick people well by adjustments, or treat certain musculoskeletal problems), some will accept us for that. But we still have not impacted their paradigm. We have just allowed them to fit our model into theirs. That may make us feel good about ourselves and make us more acceptable in the health care community but it has done them a disservice by perpetuating their ignorance.

  1. It is that model that has NO vision. If other professions can utilize your same METHOD [manipulations as they would and should call it] to accomplish your same OBJECTIVE [get some sick people or treat certain musculoskeletal problems] you don’t need us. You can go to an orthopedist, neurologist, neurosurgeon, physiatrist, osteopath, physical therapist for that same musculoskeletal problems. With such short-sighted vision, we lose.
