The greatest knowledge we have as chiropractors is the understanding of how little we do in the “work of chiropractic”. The more we apply that knowledge in our attitudes, our explanation to the public, the more effective we are as chiropractors.

Locate, Analyze, and Adjust VS and get out of the way….LET THE BODY DO ITS THING………that SIMPLE
Exactly. The more Chiropractors feel the need to explain every minute detail, the more they complicate the message to the point where potential practice members walk off wondering what they just heard. When you read how Chiropractors talk back and forth to each other on some of these pages, it is as if they are trying to impress each other with how much more they know than the other guy. It is like being in a P.H.D. seminar that intimidates others from posting anything, at the expense of perhaps beneficial knowledge that others can walk away with. After all, it is all about sharing and learning. If 3 or 4 people dominate the page with in depth dialogue that even they at times need to have further explaination of, how in the world are those who are coming in at different levels going to benefit? If those who usually post here cannot communicate in simple language with each other, think of those poor practice members trying to figure out the message. Perhaps the communicators are the problem, not those who can’t seem to get the message. Think about all of those members who GOT the MESSAGE, right from the start, when and if it was kept AS SIMPLE AS THAT, without ever memorizing the Chiropractic Bible of the 33 principles. The principles are essential for a Chiropractor to have a solid foundation to stand on for why he or she does what they do, and believe what they believe. But, when questions are posted in such a complicated and competing way, with answers that are equally complicated, the road back to simplicity becomes that much harder. Richie, though many would say that you are being too simplistic, because they have trained themselves to complicate everything to the point where “simple” has become a non-English word, you could not be more correct. SIMPLE has always been the answer, and if there was more of it, there would be less and less of all of this ,”what did you just say”.
Let The Body Do Its Thing.
Is that simple statement Big enough, for Everyone to grab on to?
To go running to a Chiropractor, demanding to be adjusted?
How Big innate intelligence is, which is the Big Idea!
With the public and society basically having an OIBU viewpoint, 1st an ADIO comprehension needs to be established. That takes work and time.
Then, and only then will simple statements capture the Bigness of the Big Idea. Perhaps? 😉
or let’s say Communicate the Bigness of the Big Idea.
Simple is good. It’s easy to remember, to understand in a moment.
But it takes a well educated person to appreciate the complexity of simplicity. IMO and Experience.
Adjust it and trust it, apply and rely, move the bone then leave it alone, unsubluxate and the rest is innate, remove the impingement to reduce the infringement. Ok the last one was a stretch….. Can anyone add to these one-line chiro concepts?
Happy New Year
I heard a quote that said to make things as simpl as possible but no simpler.
I often wondered why? 🙂
And then I wondered how… 😉
