Chiropractic is limited to “the correction of vertebral subluxations to enable the innate intelligence of the body to work at its maximum potential.” There is a system of thought that encompasses this profession which, for want of a better description, has been called a philosophy of Above-Down, Inside-Out.
This system of thought explains why chiropractors do nothing else except correct vertebral subluxations.
The practice is confined to correcting subluxation because the philosophy is much more. The more expansive the philosophy, the more limited the practice. The more limited the philosophy, the more expansive the practice.
“The more expansive the philosophy, the more limited the practice.”
And the more limited the practice, the more fun can be had! Fewer worries, less concerns, more time to do other important things in life. Having a singular objective, as stated above, frees the DC to be a better DC AND family member AND friend. So, the more expansive the philosophy, the more expansive the DC’s lifestyle!
For those of you who are inclined to want a formula to apply, the axiom of what Joe is talking about is:
“The scope of practice for chiropractic is inversely proportional to the application of the A.D.I.O. principle.”
Claude Lessard
The more you apply the ADIO principle in your office, the less broad is your scope of practice, in other words, the more limited is your scope of practice. This axiom is deductive reasoning based on the UNIQUE objective of chiropractic which is: LOCATE, ANALYZE AND CORRECT VERTEBRAL SUBLUXATION FOR A FULL EXPRESSION OF THE INNATE INTELLIGENCE OF THE BODY. Period.
