Isn’t it ironic that the CCE believes everyone should be allowed to practice chiropractic as they see fit, including PT,prescribing drugs and other medical procedures. The only exception are those who want to practice it in an objective straight chiropractic manner.
I think the 33 principles of chiropractic’s basic science are rational, logical reasonable and that they are the most successful programmatic teaching of the chiropractic objective. DD, BJ and RWS and many others have captured the essence of the ADIO worldview, which has been relegated to a subtext once aligned with CCE thinking, beginning August 26, 1974. Once the chiropractic profession looked out at society from the top (read accreditation, power, prestige) instead of the bottom (read the chiropractic objective, humility, inclusiveness), the profession focused its educational program on a path of empiricism instead of deductive reasoning based on rational logic. Please note that we,WHO chose to be at Sherman College, had just opened our doors 9 months before. It did not take long for those aligned with political power to attack the remnant of straight chiropractic. –
– When you are aligned with the government (CCE), you are forced to prefer a world view of achievement, performance, worthiness, and willpower, an OIBU world view, and surely not any talk of innate intelligence, vertebral subluxations and the chiropractic objective, an ADIO world view. There is no longer room “for the principle of coordination”. Conformity to cultural treatments of diseases becomes much more important than the awesomeness of the wisdom of the body itself or the tragic consequence of vertebral subluxations which is LESS than a full expression of the innate forces of the innate intelligence of the body. –
– It’s as if the chiropractic profession has been saying, “We have the perfect objective for what is going on inside you: LACVS for a full expression of the innate forces of the innate intelligence of the body. PERIOD. But the only requirement for receiving it is never to need it!” Reggie made his case clearly: “Those WHO are dead or those WHO have no spine or those WHO have no nerve system do not need a chiropractor. It is those WHO are alive, WHO have a spine and WHO have a nerve system WHO need a chiropractor”. RSW recognized this truth and understood that the only way to give everyone equal and universal access to chiropractic is to base chiropractic on 33 principles thus inventing an above-down-inside-out chiropractic basic science instead of self-created outside-in-below-up therapies. If we are honest, this utterly levels the playing field. Thom Gelardi, understood the great turn around and said proudly, in 1974: “Our hardships are our very trophies!” They are the “missing links” where our perseverance of practicing the chiropractic objective allows the innate forces of the innate intelligence of the body to break through our living e/matter”… Exactly as Leonard Cohen’s Anthem puts it: “Forget your perfect offering / There is a crack in everything / That’s how the light gets in.” –
– Until it is you WHO choose to practice the chiropractic objective and all that it entails, you come to the limits of your own fuel supply, there is no reason for you to switch to a higher octane of fuel. Why would you? You will not learn to actively draw upon the 33 principles of chiropractic’s basic science until your usual educated resources are depleted and revealed as inadequate to the task. In fact, you will not even know there is a solid platform on which chiropractic stands… until your own educated sources and resources utterly fail you. Even then, you may not care that much and simply leave chiropractic all together to pursue something else or worse yet, deconstruct chiropractic and deformed it into what it is not… a alternative palliative therapy to medicine (with or without the use of drugs and with or without the use of minor surgical procedures). –
– Until you can say, “My way of practicing isn’t working.” “Maybe there is another way”. “Maybe I really do need to change”. That is very often when you are finally ready to begin a sincere chiropractic journey. At that point your purpose morphs into a living act based on ADIO. –

I was at a CE seminar this past week-end and attended the cheapest one I could find $125/10hrs. credits. Sponsored by Florida Chiropractic Physician Association….An “Important Announcement” was publicized not to be missed….. Dr. P? from New Mexico announced that He had been instrumental in changing the scope of practice to include certain drugs and injectables, and we must all support this movement financially and join the assoc. A massive public publicity campaign of millions/mo. is on the horizon to educate the public of the new approach. Oh! he also stated that they as a group have no agenda….Right We’ve heard that before!
The sad thing Rich is that so many in that group will be duped into accepting what he says as a great “advancement” for chiropractic.
