The Body does not heal itself

The body is only material, flesh and blood. If it healed itself, you could cut the finger on a corpse and it would heal. It is the innate intelligence of the body, the non-material principle of life that does the healing. Are we making that distinction to our practice members and the people that we come in contact with when explaining chiropractic?

  1. Absolutely! That’s one of the most important distinction of the healing process. As a matter of fact, it is the foundation of all healing processes. I won’t practice without it! đŸ™‚

  2. And actually, even the ii of the body does not heal! Surprised?? What we call healing is really the creation of new life, new cells in the body. Damaged cells do not heal, they die off and are replaced by new, hopefully healthy cells. Unfortunately sometimes they are replaced by cells as sick as the ones they are replacing due to any number of factors not the least of which is the toxic, internal environment of our bodies. But the ii of the body does the best it can, with whatever materials it has at its disposal, and thankfully gets the job done in spite of all we do to keep it from doing so.
