Pseudoscience

Pseudo: fake or false – a lie Science – the search for truth by a systematic study of the physical world. Examples of pseudoscience or lies about the physical world:

1. Vaccination prevents disease. No need to explain the mechanism and why this statement is false.

2. Drugs cure disease. Same as #1 above.

3. Chiropractic gets sick people well. It is the innate intelligence of the body that gets sick people well, sometimes. It is limited by limitations of matter. It does so more effectively if the forces of the innate intelligence are expressed more effectively. LACVS allows for more effective expression of innate forces. That is a far leap from “chiropractic gets sick people well” and at best only half a truth and a half truth is still a lie.

  1. The objective of chiropractic is LACVS. The reason for LACVS is so that innate force may be better expressed. The result of better expression of IF is higher organizational state of matter. One expected benefit of a higher organized state of matter is wellness.
So I guess to be totally truthful we would have to say….Chiropractic gets sick people well, sometimes, but more often than a fall down the stairs would.

    • Steve, I think you just hit upon the ICA’s ideal P.R. campaign slogan for 2014:Chiropractic gets sick people well, sometimes, but more often than a fall down the stairs would. It’s better than the one of the 70’s that we use to mock: “even the strongest back can’t stand carelessness”
