Uniting man the material and man the non-material (not man the spiritual) is the goal of the chiropractor. But there is no way to demonstrate that it can be done apart from the nerve system. If it could, the nerve system with all its weaknesses would be obsolete.
Non-material being what it is (or isn’t), a concept, is there a way to demonstrate it’s very existence, let alone it’s connection to the material world? Can a lack of connection be demonstrated? Does gravity “unite” with the falling object? Can gravity be “disconnected”? This idea of uniting implies there could be a point of non-coexistence. How does that idea converge with Principles # 1and 20? Maybe we should rethink the term “reuniting”?
Steve,
WHAT is it that has for function to unite the non-material with the material?
Hey Claude,
I understand FORCE unites intelligence and matter. With INTELLIGENCE being the non-material side of the equation and intelligence as a mental impulse being unmeasurable, how do we resolve to demonstrate the “uniting” of matter with something that is only a concept?
Steve,
What do principle #12 and 29 state?
Steve,
Rationalization (deductive reasoning and logic) is one of the 4 valid methods of perception {the others being authority (faith), empiricism (scientific method) and intuition (hunches)}. –
– You can logically demonstrate the union of matter from the authority of the major premise all the way down to principle #33. 🙂
Hey Claude,
It makes perfect sense to me , but is there a way to demonstrate/prove it without a flow of logic? Something tangible perhaps?
Steve,
“Can a lack of connection be demonstrated?” How about a corpse?
Eric,
A lack of connection from the innate intelligence of the LIVING body and the matter of the NON-LIVING body (corpse) is evidence of the dis-connection between the two. The cellular intelligence of the NON-LIVING BODY body is still connected to the matter of the NON-LIVING body until ALL the matter of ALL the cell of the NON-LIVING body are NON-LIVING. –
– Here is the question: Can a lack of connection between the innate intelligence of the LIVING body and the matter of the LIVING BODY be demonstrated with the scientific method and tangibles?
No. No caliper to fit on the intangible. Or philosophy is vitalistic as you know. The proof is as I stated above however. After death, all the matter is still present. Therefore something extra-material must be responsible for life.
Eric,
You are correct. The ONLY time there is a dis-connect between the innate intelligence of the LIVING body and the matter of the LIVING body is at the moment of DEATH. This fact proves as you stated above that “therefore something extra-material must be responsible for life”.
Steve,
Nope.
Steve,
The function of intelligence is ONLY to create force (pri.9). The function of force is ONLY to unite intelligence and matter (pri.10). The function of matter is to ONLY express force (pri.13). Therefore the function of universal intelligence is to ONLY to create universal force whose function is to ONLY unite universal intelligence with universal matter whose function is to ONLY express universal force. Now, a “living thing” has an inborn intelligence within its body, called innate intelligence (pri,20). Therefore, the function of innate intelligence is ONLY to adapt universal forces and matter for use in the LIVING body, so that all parts of the LIVING matter of body will have co-ordinated action for mutual benefit (pri.23) and whose ONLY function is to express innate forces within the limitations of its own matter. Force is non-material bits of information (“thoughts” or “intentions” if you will). Force is everywhere and nowhere at the same time (try to wrap your mind around that one). Time does not exist, only eternity does (mind twisting isn’t it?). Space is unlimited, there is no edge to space, you go as far as you can with your mind and your scientific instruments to see stars and black holes at 100,000,000,000 light years away and space still continues without limitations ( can your educated mind comprehend this?). Quantum physics, today, sees that the human body is proportionally as void as intergalactic space. There is a huge empty void with a few scattered dots and spots and some random electrical discharges. WHAT is the nature of this “void” that is 99.999% of the MATERIAL of the body? It’s just empty space! Is it an emptiness of “nothing” or is it a FULLNESS of some non-material state of information or energy? –
– The function of universal force is to unite universal intelligence with universal matter (pri.10). And the expression of universal intelligence through universal matter is the chiropractic meaning of life (pri.2).
I remember back in 1976 having listened to a “poor” audio recording of BJ (circa 1950s) in Joe Flesia’s communication course. BJ was saying that “the human body was 99.44% empty”. In the 1950s, BJ was off the mark by only 1/2%! BJ was way ahead of his time!!! Today, the new science states this very same thing. It appears, that the human body is mostly “empty space” which has neither matter nor force in it. And this “empty space” is highly organized even if quantum physics calls it chaos. It is the SOURCE of both matter and force that we call universal intelligence and in the LIVING human body we call it innate intelligence. And now, in the last few years, there has been some very interesting scientific researches that in fact, show that, this is the case. That it may be not that we are physical machines WHO have learned to think, it may be the other way around…. that we are thoughts that have learned to create the physical machine and these thoughts (forces) emerge from a field of all possibilities, a field of infinity, a field of organization, a field of UNITY of matter and intelligence, that we call the LAW OF ORGANIZATION (pri. #1) our start point. Beyond that start point is the realm of theology which as you know, is the study of GOD and NOT the subject of chiropractic philosophy. Chiropractic is a philosophy, science and art LIMITED to things NATURAL (art. #2) and GOD is supernatural. –
– The function of matter is to express force (pri.13). Force is manifested by MOTION in matter; all matter has motion, therefore there is universal life in ALL matter (pri.14). –
– Only the authority of the major premise and the logical deductive reasoning of rationalization will demonstrate and prove the truth that the goal of the chiropractor is to LACVS for a full expression of the innate FORCES of the innate intelligence of the body. PERIOD. In other words, there can be interference with innate forces (pri.29) and interference with transmission in the LIVING body is always directly or indirectly due to the subluxations in the spinal column (pri.31). This will cause DIS-EASE, (lacking ease) (pri.30), or stated differently “dis-unity” (lacking unity). It logically follows that LACVS is bringing EASE to the LIVING body thereby bringing unity to the LIVING body by “uniting the matter of the human being with the non-matter of human being”. –
– Joseph is absolutely correct. We cannot demonstrate the goal of the chiropractor apart from the nerve system. LACVS is the “re-uniting” of the material with the non-material in the HUMAN BEING as stated in principle #1 and gives rise to the chiropractic meaning of life in principle #2. –
– Steve, do YOU get it?
Yes Claude I do. That’s why I love this philosophy. When properly stated, without additions, it just makes so much sense to me.
You and Joe have such a firm grip on these principles I know you can count on you guys to STRAIGHTEN me out.
Thank you very much, my brother in….. hands.
I know ” I ” can count in
