Without the ability to make decisions there is no freedom. You can never make good decisions in life unless you can discern good from bad, right from wrong. You can never discern good from bad, right from wrong, unless you have absolutes, standards or principles by which to measure those decisions. The greatest standards (laws) in the history of the world are still the Golden Rule and the 10 Commandments.
Chiropractic is based on an absoute, i.e. our Major Premise, that there is a universal intelligence in all matter, continually giving to it all its properties and actions, thus maintaining it in existence.
It is also impossible to make good decisions if you do not know ALL the facts or All the choices. I feel it is our job to inform and teach the non-therapeutic form of care. If they only hear of symptom management, over and over again, how can they choose anything else? So truly the suppression of OSC, by any source inside or outside the profession, is the suppression of freedom.
