Reggie’s Epiphany In writing his biography Reggie shared with me how he came to understand the non-therapeutic aspect of chiropractic. This 15 min. segment is part of a talk that took place during his 80th birthday celebration in  December 2005 at an FSCO Convention.

Dieting is an outside-in approach. Body building is an outside-in approach.  Outside-in approaches are never meant to be  health measures. That is why, at best, they only treat  symptoms and are usually temporary.   If  an approach  is not something  that you do for life, then it  is a quick fix. It is  therapeutic – a treatment. Health measures are  lifetime endeavors.

It is not the satisfied person who tells others. It is the enthusiastic, educated person who refers.

Uniting man the material and man the non-material (not man the spiritual) is the goal of the chiropractor. But there is no way to demonstrate that it can be done apart from the nerve system. If  it could, the nerve system with all its weaknesses would be obsolete.

Naturalism recognizes no seperate principle, law or entities. It is all one encompassing thing-nature. Chiropractic and vitalism, on the other hand, recognizes that intelligence, while united with matter, is seperate and distinct from the matter (and the force which unites them). We need to define medicine before we can begin to define chiropractic.  BJ defined “sick” as a person who had DIS-EASE. He said that meant they were subluxated.
