A Reader's Question

Perhaps you can help me understand this Dr. Strauss. One of the famous OSCors, Dr. Reggie Gold, would often point out that we are not designed to live forever. Are you suggesting that it is a lack of innate forces that causes death and that death is not dependent upon the matter in any way? This seems like a problem of looking at reality with a dualistic world view rather than one that sees the that both the metaphysical and physical are intimately linked in one reality.

S., when you say death, I assume you are referring to the death of the organism (person) as opposed to partial death (my term, the lack of intelligence through matter being expressed through matter).  (Limitations of) MATTER IS ALWAYS THE CAUSE OF DEATH, whether it is trauma or the inability  of the matter to express innate force due to interference. People often develop diseases because they have an hereditary predisposition (which is a function of the matter). Improper lifestyle habits  further negatively  affect the matter as does nerve interference caused by vertebral subluxation. Do we (each of us) have a “pre-programmed obsolescence” like computers or automobiles? We do (and for the same reason-limitations of matter). That is not an issue in the chiropractic philosophy. OSC just wants to make sure that the point is reached and does not occur because of vertebral subluxation.

  1. Reader Q cont…
Dr. Strauss, when the reader made reference to ‘problem of looking at reality with a dualistic world view rather than one that sees the that both the metaphysical and physical are intimately linked in one reality’
Is this the Di-Psycho you reference, and what about ‘living by’ the singular path of ADIO? How is this reconciled by the presence of LOM and the descision(s) to balance the “pre-programmed obsolescence” as dictated by reality, and the need to survive or improve ones reality of living by using the Educated brain to solve lifes problems? Balancing ADIO with OIBU which conflict with each other from the singular viewpoints that we humans possess?
The Di-Psycho IS the ‘dog chasing it’s tail’, but then what else is one to do? Ignorance is bliss? What constant reigns the human psyche, positively? Understand? 🙂

    • David,

If you don’t understand what Joseph meant by “that is not an issue in the chiropractic philosophy”? Let me, hopefully help you by adding that the human psyche is e/matter… Not positive. Not negative. Only LIMITED. (Pri24). Innate intelligence is ALWAYS normal and its function is ALWAYS normal (pri27). Principle 27 is NOT positive or negative. It ONLY is CONSTANT… and IS part of YOU. Can you see that your question is dualistic and di-psycho… and NOT within the 33principles of chiropractic’s basic science? “Understand?” 😉
